A blustery wind beckoned Shae on, playing in her hair, caressing her skin.. The warm sunlight danced through the trees and splayed across her face.
This was it. This was home. The home that hardly welcomed her with open arms, the home where her own family had chosen to ship her away on a plane to California, the place she in the least wanted to go. Yes, this was the home where she was hardly noticed anymore, but this was her haven, her safe place. The one place she knew she was sheltered.
A jolt in the road awakened Shae from her daydream, and she instantly remembered where she was. California hillside flashed past the windows, a golden blur that she took little notice too. A few scraggly trees stood solemn in the midst of the golden-brown sea of waving grasses, lonely and secluded. A vast blue sky expanded above her head, wide and frightening, reminding her of the huge world she could easily get hurt in, lost, kidnapped, murdered..
Shea’s pulse suddenly quickened, beating too fast for her to count. She whipped her head from side to side, teeth clenched, screaming and whimpering. She slammed her foot on the break and pulled to the side of the road, eddies of dust billowing up around her car. She sat, shaking uncontrollably, leaning her head against the headrest. She sucked in deep breaths through her mouth, trying to calm her erratic heart.
She wasn’t going to die. She was going to be in a small, safe little ranch, where no one going to hurt her. Small and safe, she told herself, small and safe and.. Full of strangers. Shae’s heart drummed fast against her chest, slamming relentlessly again and again.
“Calm down!” she hissed at herself, but it sounded strangled. She opened her eyes warily, staring at the small, gorgeous blue topaz ring nestled on her ring finger. It instantly reminded her of the happy days, when she was the energetic, happy-go-lucky little girl whose flyaway blonde hair turned gold over the summer, who’s can-do attitude got her through everything. It gave her hope.
She could do this.
SHAE SAMANTHA LONDON AVERY
Name ; Shae Samantha London Indigo Nickname/s ; ShaeShae or Sammy Age ; 18 Gender ; Female Birth Date ; 9/17/1991 Issue ; Hysteria
Height ; 5'5" Eye Color ; Light Blue / Teal Hair Color ; Platinum Blond with bright turquoise streaks Hair Style ; chin length, wispy and curly Detailed Appearance ; Shae is a very beautiful young woman, petite and with curves that flow liquidly down her body. Her frame is thin and light, not angular or dense like some more "beefy" women. She has long legs, almost too long for her body, and smooth, willowy arms.
Shae's face is small and angelic. A full head of chin-length, wispy platinum blond hair frames her heart-shaped face, slightly curling at the ends. Big, significant blue-green eyes lie above a small nose, blemished with small, peachy freckles. Delicate lips cover a set of shiny white teeth. Though, despite this beauty, a major flaw takes away from this little daintiness.
A disturbingly noticeable scar rips down from the space below her jaw to her collarbone, horribly red and jagged. Most people find it hard not to stare at this horrible scar, and she's tried numerous times to hide it.
Shae's startlingly bright eyes give away her emotions better than her saying them aloud. They dull when she's depressed, tired, angry, or any other bleak mood, but glisten when she's happy and sunny. Sometimes this is helpful, though Shea hardly likes this sometimes-flaw.
Wiry, thin, yet stronger then most women, Shea can hardly say she doesn't like her appearance. Summed up Appearance ; Well-muscled, yet thin beautiful young woman with bright turquoise eyes.
Detailed Personality ; Shae suffers from Hysteria, so, naturally, she is timid, nervous, scared, and above all, shy. If she thinks about anything unpleasant or new, she sends herself into a large fit, screaming and crying. Most find her repulsive, having the problems she does, but she is a totally different person behind her outer layer.
Once, before what she is now, Shea was a smiley, energetic little girl. She was daring and bold, and most of all, had a happy-go-lucky personality that would light a smile on anyone's face. She is that person, now, too, though few people get to see this side of her. Silly and sarcastic make up the main part of this sunny side. She's full of laughter, though all this laughter is pent up inside of her. Summed up Personality ; Nervous, shy, and scared, but smiley and happy once you get to know her. Detailed History ; When Shae was born, she wasn't the mistrusting, nervous girl she is today. She had the can-do, happy-go-lucky personality, and was always smiling. When she was five she spent most of her summers on the swings, blowing bubbles, and getting her clothes soaked at the beach. Her hair turned golden in the strong summer sun, and most of everyone adored her. On her sixth birthday, her parents gave her a diamond-studded blue topaz ring, which she wore every day afterwards.
When she turned sixteen, the worst thing in her life happened to her. She started being stalked by a stranger she had met online, not knowing that he was a murderer. No, she wasn't being stalked in a lovey-dovey way, but being stalked to kill.
When she turned seventeen, he finally struck. He met her home alone in her house, brandishing a long butcher's knife. He pinned her against the wall and cut her from below her jaw all the way down to her collar bone, and she received two major surgeries. She spent over seven months in counseling, or, to her, seven months of people telling her the same thing. She officially got Hysteria, constantly having fits, screaming and yelling in her nightmares.
Three months later, her parents put their foot down and decided to send her to Broadview, their hopes that she would regain her trust in the world. Relationships ; none Other ; Ring

Personality ; Cincinnati is a laid-back, kind horse who is willing to do anything for his rider. Though he's had his fair share of problems in life, "Nati", as he is more casually called, is the perfect horse for people who've had a rough past.
Unlike most horses, Cincinnati is a humorous trouble-maker who's taken on the career of escape artist. Despite his size, Nati is especially sly, sneaky, and clever. For a horse, he is oddly funny, and seems to enjoy the sound of his riders' laughter.
Most people, if not all, would immediately describe this sneaky gelding calm, cool, and intelligent. Though don't let these words get to your head - every horse has his bad side. All though Cincinnati would throw himself in front of a bullet for his rider, ask him to do something he doesn't want to do, and this gelding will be as stubborn as a mule. He'll buck, rear, charge, anything, and has a hard time calming himself down.
Cincinnati has a fragile sore spot that will send him into a frenzy if touched. When he was a yearling, before he came to Broadview, he lived in a high-class, prestigious riding school in Ireland. They were old-fashioned, using lanterns and candles instead of lights, and one night, a careless stable boy left a lit candle on top a bale of hay. Most can guess what happened approximately three hours later. The stable was ablaze, the numerous amount of wood in the stable burning and smoldering. Cincinnati was in the very last stall, and was the last one to escape the flaming stable. He suffered third and fourth degree burns, and after that, was sent to a Horse and Rider Recovery Program, HARRP, where he was treated and healed enough to find a permanent home at Broadview.
